I realize this is a delusion, but humor me.
Clearly, I have an excellent grasp of social media and I use it to full advantage.
Sadly, I have come to the conclusion that I know nothing whatsoever about technology, building a website (plug ins, anyone? No thank you, I use spray air fresheners), or graphic design. I do not know all that Photoshop is capable of doing. I do know it's possible to make my header using Photoshop but I haven't a clue how to do it. I do not understand coding or anything remotely having to do with IT. This is not news to my husband and my children, nor is it news to me but I was entertaining the delusion that maybe, just maybe I was just a little more computer savvy than your average piece of Kleenex, but alas! I was continuing the self deception.
I did have a small moment of victory recently, though. My parents set up a new email account and I was able to walk them through adding a new contact. I felt pretty accomplished, let me tell 'ya! Bring on the new side business as a tech support person!
My temporary elation and victory aside, I DO know how to outsource! Haha! Go me! I have enlisted my (tech savvy and extremely handsome) husband to help me.
As if he doesn't have enough to do.
But he's doing it for me because he's a good sport and a great guy like that, and if I can figure out the parts that I need to figure out I'll have a pretty sweet little blog with an attached shop that actually has a shopping cart and PayPal and everything when it's all said and done! That's the whole point of all of this...changing from Blogger to Wordpress and all that. I'm opening my online store. Finally! Something that's been in the back of my mind for years! I'll post the link to the new site when it's live.
So in addition to writing fascinating blog content, I am offering my tech support services. I'll be waiting for your calls, but please be patient if I have to put you on hold. I am very busy changing out my air fresheners because while my husband is working on my new website he keeps talking about getting plug ins.
